Full Feature Details
This non-retractable shoulder belt comes in 52″ (FE200710) and 82″ (FE200710L) lengths and is designed as the upper-torso part of a complete occupant restraint system for wheelchair passengers. It anchors at a fixed point on the sidewall or into L-Track using FE200745, FE200747, or FE200736 hardware, allowing you to place the shoulder belt at the correct location for your vehicle layout.
Mounting & Use Notes:
Mount the upper end of the belt to sidewall or L-Track using the appropriate kit (FE200745/747/736) at a height and location that gives good shoulder contact without crossing the neck.
Always pair with an approved lap belt and a properly installed wheelchair tie-down system; the shoulder belt alone is not a wheelchair securement.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this belt designed specifically for wheelchair occupants? +
Yes. Wheelchair occupant restraints are purpose-built for wheelchair transport and are different from standard vehicle seatbelts. They are designed to account for the wheelchair seating position and attach to the vehicle floor track or rear tie-down points rather than a fixed vehicle seat.
Will this belt fit the occupant comfortably and safely? +
The same fit principles apply as any seatbelt: the lap portion should sit low across the pelvis — not the belly — and the shoulder portion should cross the center of the chest without cutting into the neck. If the belt rides up or doesn't fit correctly, check seating posture, belt length, and whether a positioning guide is needed.
Is this belt compatible with my existing securement system? +
It is recommended that all components — retractors, occupant belt, and floor anchorage — be from the same manufacturer. Contact us with your current system details and we will confirm compatibility before you order.
What are best practices for positioning lap and shoulder belts on riders? +
Lap belt: low on hips and pelvis, never across the stomach. Shoulder belt: mid-chest, over the shoulder bone, not the neck or under the arm. Both should be snug, flat, and untwisted. These same principles apply regardless of wheelchair or vehicle type.
