Retractable systems use a spring-loaded mechanism to automatically take up slack, making securement faster and reducing trip hazards from loose webbing. Electric retractors add powered retraction, ideal for operators or drivers with limited hand strength or mobility.

A complete wheelchair tie-down and occupant restraint system — often called a 4-point securement system — has three primary components: floor anchorages (L-Track rail and floor pockets), wheelchair securement retractors (4-point tie-downs), and an occupant restraint (lap and shoulder belt). Do I need to buy floor anchors separately? +

Check the What's Included section. If L-Track rail or floor pockets are not listed, they need to be purchased separately. Your vehicle may already have floor anchorage installed — check before ordering.

Is professional installation required? +

The retractors connect to existing floor anchorage and require no special tools for daily use. Floor anchorage components must be installed by a qualified WAV modifier.

Can I mix brands within the same vehicle? +

We do not recommend mixing brands within the same 4-point wheelchair position. All four retractors at each position should be the same brand and series for system-level compatibility and compliance.
