Same retractor unit, different floor mount. The Q5-6210-11-ER4 uses a fixed one-bolt mount drilled into the vehicle floor. Is professional installation required? +
Daily operation requires no special tools. The vehicle's 12V electrical connection must be completed by a qualified WAV modifier or certified accessibility vehicle technician. The L-Track fitting itself slides into place without tools, but the initial electrical wiring is not a DIY task.
Why only use this for front tie-down positions? +
The QER is purpose-designed for front securement points where limited space makes manual retractor operation difficult or impossible. Rear positions typically have more operator access and use standard QRT manual retractors. A complete 4-point system requires 2x QER (front) plus 2x QRT manual retractors (rear) plus an occupant lap and shoulder belt.
