Do I need to buy anything else to use this kit?
Yes — the Q10-003 is the case-side component and must be paired with the Q10-005 Easy Mount with Safe Release installed in your vehicle. Both are required for a functional DropLok installation. The Retrofit Kit alone adapts your bag for DropLok compatibility; the Easy Mount is what receives and locks it in the vehicle.
How do I know if my EMT bag is the right size for the Small kit?
The Q10-003 Small Retrofit Kit fits EMT bags with lengths from 7.5"–14" and widths from 11"–18". Measure your bag's exterior dimensions along those two axes. Will the straps work on soft bags or only hard cases?
The Securement Plate with Straps and Buckles is designed to work with both soft bags and hard cases. For soft bags, the strap system cinches around the bag body to hold the Stabilizer Plate firmly in position. For hard cases, the hardware can attach to the case structure. The DropLok design philosophy is to keep existing equipment in service — whatever your current bag is, the system is built to retrofit it.
Can multiple retrofit kits be used in the same vehicle?
Yes — each Retrofit Kit configures one bag, and each bag needs its own Easy Mount with Safe Release (Q10-005) at a separate vehicle mounting position. Agencies deploying multiple bags per unit (e.g., a drug box and a jump bag) can have two independent DropLok stations. Contact us for multi-unit and fleet pricing.
